What is "Silica White?"

"SILICA WHITE" is a highly reactive pozzolan processed from a natural volcanic vitreous white silica deposit. It is crushed into ultra fine powder, finer than one third of cement particles.
Concrete, mixed with "SILICA WHITE", achieves :

• high compressive strength
• improved crack prevention
• reduced water permeability
• resistance to salt and chemical attack
• improved resistance to freeze-thaw damage
• reduced efflorescence and bleeding problem

Silica, main component of "SILICA WHITE", quickly reacts with the calcium hydroxide in cement water to produce binding gel on cement particles (Pozzolanic reaction) which locks in calcium hydrate that can cause water penetration on a long term basis and simultaneously fills the voids caused by bleeding during the hardening period.
These chemical and physical effects contribute to make high watertight concrete semipermanently.
